What’s the use of philosophy?
(For fucking nothing)
Is it just a bunch of crazy ideas from even crazier people?
(I don’t know, please tell me)
Well, let’s explore the philosophy of philosophy.
1) Human beings are human beings.
(Oh fuck big discovery) Meaning we are flawed creatures in a constant search of flawlessness. (Deep)
2) All of us operate from rules of understanding shaped through experience.
(Do we really?)
3) Philosophy then, would be a study of our experience (or existence) right?
LETS OBSERVE THE BENEFITS OF PHILOSOPHY FROM 4 SETS OF EYES:
Okay, so that’s great and all, but now I’m confused, is there any ‘right’ philosophy? Is there any ‘wrong’ philosophy?
(I don’t know but I think you’re about to tell me)
Well, in short, Yes & No.
By considering the general definition for Philosophy of: Biology, Psychology, Religion, and Philosophy itself, we can clearly see that there are benefits to adopting philosophical ideas.
(Says you, I’m a hedonist)
However, as for “what is the ‘right’ philosophy?”, can any single self-aware being really argue that for other self-aware beings?
A person who broke his leg on a skateboard, might say the skateboard is dangerous, (or evil). A skateboarder who won the heart of a few beautiful girls doing dastardly tricks however, will think the skateboard is awesome (or a gift from the gods).
So, I guess, in a way, you and I, as participants in a self-aware existence, with other self-aware-beings, (who are all honestly just trying to figure out this thing called life), must embrace all forms of philosophy, while not taking it seriously enough to declare that any one idea is wrong.
(Fuck, I’m tearing up)
Of course, unless any of those ‘philosophies’ include mentally, or physically hurting people. That’s where we need to question, educate, and if necessary, kick some ass.
(Yeah fuck up some hating ass bitches)
